Vinyl Street Bar, Hongdae, Seoul

As you might've read from previous posts on this blog, I have a love affair with Hongdae in Seoul, South Korea. I immediately fell for its youthful vibe and artsy feel the first time I visited the place a few years back, and have been back in Hongdae a couple of times since. Last year I went on a solo trip to Seoul and spent a couple of days walking around the city, and I of course made Hongdae my home base.

It was in one of my walks around Hongdae that I finally chanced upon Vinyl, a tiny, quirky street bar near Hongik University that sold cheap cocktails in ziplock bags. I had heard about it a couple of times before and had seen blogs rave about the place, but had never gotten the chance to look for it until my solo trip last year. It took a while for me to find Vinyl, but all the walking around in the cold while looking at Google Maps was worth it!

If you plan on looking for Vinyl Bar when you visit Hongdae, keep an eye out for the quirky robot in its storefront:

...and their iconic ziplock cocktails:

Order your drink at the bar and have a chat with the nice bartender.

The interior kind of looks like a hippy's den from the 70's. Very groovy.

Check out the ziplock cocktails!

I ordered a cocktail to go and bought spicy chicken from a street food vendor near my hostel. Awesome way to cap off the night!

If we converse about overconfident investigate in this graceful country, the first thing hits in our talent is none other than trekking. Yes, the trekking is the just about all ordinary penchant for Nepal Tibet Bhutan tours which attracts trekkers from all superior than the specialty.

Night at Hongdae, Seoul

Nights in Seoul are vibrant and welcoming. Lit up by neon signs that buzz late into the night, evenings in Seoul have a creative energy that sucks people in crowds. night, evenings in Seoul have a creative energy that sucks people in crowds. For those who have been suffering at home from the sweltering summer, you will be happy to hear that September is when it really starts to get better—especially at night. Whether you’re still hanging on to the last days of summer or impatiently waiting for fall, September offers the best of both seasons, making it far and away the best month for evening excursions in the city.

Your travel blog is amazing! So informative and fun. I love the photos of the places you’ve been to especially the food! These photos are memories to last you a lifetime. The places you have been to and are going to see need not be forgotten. I can’t wait to read more about your travels and view your wonderful photos.

You can actually share your photos and videos to more people. I discovered an awesome website that let’s you share pictures and videos and helps you remember specific locations you’ve traveled to.

Have you ever taken photos on a trip only to get home and not be able to remember where you took “that” shot? http://www.Trailu.com is your Travel log, Travel Diary or travel companion. As long as your phone or camera is set as “GEO Tagging” or “Location Tagging” to ON, the GPS data of exactly where you took the photo will be decrypted from your photo and #Trailu.com will place your photo on your very own personal travel log map of the world so you can quickly and easily see every photo you’ve taken and exactly where it was taken.

Just yesterday I was talking to my #travel buddy that I do a “blokes Trip” with once a year and I was looking at a photo that I swore was taken in Da Nang in Central Vietnam – But when I uploaded it, the GPS data said it was taken in Southern Vietnam and then I compared it to other photos the same day and yep, it was taken in Vung Tau in Southern Vietnam.

Very powerful and totally FREE – I hope it is useful to you. It’s very user-friendly and you’ll never forget those wonderful places you’ve traveled to. Just create an account (quick and easy) and share your amazing photos for more people to see and enjoy.

I really hope to see all your photos on the Trailu site!
