Snapshots: Couple in Namsan Tower, Seoul, South Korea

Valentine's Day is just around the corner, so I thought I'd post something related to that celebrated/dreaded day.

In Namsan Tower in Seoul, everyday feels like Valentine's Day (fortunately or unfortunately), as attested to by the couple above, who were writing their love confessions on a random chilly day in November.

If there was one thing I learned on my trip to Korea last November, it's this: it's not exactly fun to be single in Seoul. But that's for a whole other post. :)

Are they both girls? They sure look like they are.

Here in Holland, Valetine's day is not a big deal. Guys doesn't even want to give flowers.

No, they're not both girls! Haha :)

I somehow had this notion of Holland being a romantic kind of place...which I guess it probably is, except Valentine's Day isn't particularly special. Maybe it's more of an American tradition/marketing ploy, which is why it's sort of a big deal in the Philippines. :)

Yup, I we saw the padlocks! There were loads of them. I'll post the pictures we took soon. Even the benches were couples! It was all kind of amusing, for the most part. :)

Seoul is def. a city meant for couples and it used to drive me NUTS... until i got a bf, lol.

Did you know that on vday in seoul girls give boys chocolate and then on march 14 ("White day") boys give girls candy... and then on april 14 ("Black day") single people eat jajang myun... Koreans will take any reason to celebrate anything...
